Affiliate marketing resembles an auction house. Your web site pushes merchandise in return, every lead pulls in a commission. It isn’t as much effort, few operating costs, it works twenty-four hours a day, and it’s simple to master. The first step you need to take is to make a decision as to what merchandise or market you’d like to specialize in. A way of doing this is, find out solutions to issues a unique market segment is looking for, and then discover a way to address those issues. An efficient method of doing this task is finding unique narrow keywords; there are fewer internet searches for these as a rule, however they convert far more.

To get hold of these profitable keywords, use Micro Niche Finder or a program like it. The information compiled by Micro Niche Finder or other computer programs or computer software produces associated keywords and phrases in an extensive list providing worthwhile information to get top ranking on the web based search engines. Further data is supplied from the program, for instance the number of searches every word or phrase gets, the number of competing websites, and how strong the competition is. Finally, the information generated can help in loacting related domains, help you put together your internet site, and also draw attention to the best merchandise for you to sell.

Next you need to put together a web site; yet you still have a few crucial things to do. It is important to optimize your web site for the search engines. Programs like SEO Elite should make this easy. Your competitors’ web sites are analyzed by the software package which then provides advice on how to improve search engine performance. In SEO Elite the information supplied by the software advises you on links, the most lucrative keywords, and details on where and how to upload articles. Succinctly, the data generated are the same sort of advice that a specialist in search engine optimization might offer. When you find your niche, put together your product promotion, and your site has been completed, then you are ready to get your website up in the search results. You will collect a steady paycheck and you’ll question why you ever worried about making money!

In the present day, as various organisations & managers are looking at online video sites as a tremendous place to post content to draw their potential clients, it is critical to identify the key benefits of using internet video marketing sites.

Here are one or two crucial bits and pieces you must be acquainted with before you begin to distribute professional videos on web video sites.

All the time attempt to use promotional videos that give useful material to your potential customers - Some business people mistakenly think you can basically put any advertisement on a video channel, but nothing could be any closer from the truth. Every video must give some meaningful information to the desired market, or start topic of talk.

Do some market research on the video channels before posting your very first video - it is a terrific suggestion to provide some extra time typing your market’s main keywords into Yahoo, in an endeavour to learn what other videos are already online. Next make sure you have noted down the profile names of the most prominent organisations in your sector. Maybe down the line you can become involved in a joint venture or have some sort of collaboration with these firms.

It is important to take into consideration that each video portal has a society built into it - You should respect the other members and it is suggested that you write positive notes to your competitors’ videos. First & foremost you need to be a member of the community, contributing feedback, ideas etc. And only then must you consider being a video marketer & start to promote your very own videos and firm.

Commit yourself to developing quite a few corporate videos - You ought to have an obvious strategy for creating and distributing numerous videos. Or else, your profile page on the video portals will give the feeling of being empty if it just has one video to look at. As a result, provide time preparing the manufacturing of a series of short videos, instead of one extended video.

Web video marketing is one of the most effective and fastest manners of advertising your business at present.

How does a 74-year-old newbie break into the world of Internet
marketing?

You gotta admire an old codger like that trying to break into a
complex, technical, all-new-to-him field at that age. You want
to find out more about such a guy.

Is he kinda demented?

What’s his business background?

Does he have a chance to succeed?

You have all kinds of questions you’d like to ask if you
interviewed him. I looked him up. I asked questions.

Me: Why are you venturing into this field at your age?

Him: I needed money, I wanted to get started before I got too old.

Me: What makes you think you can succeed? Do you have computer experience? Business background?

Him: Why shouldn’t I succeed? Look at all the other people who have succeed. I read about a 7-year-old boy who
established a very successful Internet business. Surely I’m as
smart as a 7-year-old!

Business experience? I’ve sold vacuum cleaners door to
door. And I did pretty well as an insurance salesman.

My computer experience so far is playing solitaire and
using email.

Me: What’s your strategy?

Him: I figured I should find the most successful Internet marketer and emulate him.

Me: Who did you find?

Him: Well, there were about as many suggestions as there were people I asked. But one name kept popping up. Mark
Joyner.

Me: So you copied him?

Him: Well, not right away. I got ahold of his number and called him. Nice guy. I told him what I wanted. He said my best bet was to read a book he wrote called Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript. That’s quite a mouthful.

But I got it. I read it. That’s quite an eyeful.

Me: So did you use any of his ideas?

Him: I’m glad you said “any.” I don’t think anyone could use all of them in a lifetime. Even a lifetime for a young feller like you.

But I got started. You wondered if I could succeed? I
started like gangbusters. Then it happened.

Me: What happened?

Him: I found out he had written a sequel. He calls it CIIM: Volume 2.

Me: And you bought it

Him: Bought and read it. Man, I didn’t believe any one man could possess such knowledge. Let alone put it into simple language that even a newbie like me could understand.

Me: Did you use the info from the second volume?

Him: Well, I was doing so well following the first book that I hated to change horses in the middle of the stream. But his second horse was so much better, I slipped on over to using it.

Me: Any change?

Him: I’ll tell you what. You can go to one of my pages and find out. It’s a page I put up to tell folks everything I found out about Mark Joyner and his books. Notice, I said everything I found out. You gotta believe its not everything about him. I don’t think any one human can know everything about a man like Mark Joyner.

Don’t misunderstand. I didn’t write the page. Web
copywriting is a skill I’m working on. But I found a great
information piece, got permission, and set it up.

That’s one of the basic things Mark taught me. Start
making money right way selling other people’s stuff. Works
like a charm.

Me: O.K. You’ve got me hooked. Where do I go to see this page of yours?

Him: Try http://www.home-bible-study.com/HoOld.html

By the way. Don’t tell folks I’m 74 years old. They won’t want to visit my sites.

Me: Tell you what. I just won’t mention your name. I think your age makes a wonderful story.

Him: O.K.

I wish I could tell you his name. I know it’s going to start
showing up more and more as folks discuss Internet success.

But I’ll tell you one thing for sure. He was right about Mark
Joyner’s books. I’m half way through Volume 2 for the second
time.

And I hate to read!

Today I would like to discuss with you this simple question - is it optional for you to be involved in some sort of online business or is it a modern life necessity?

Let’s see… Are you a multi-millionaire? Are you a business executive or well paid professional - doctor, lawyer, programmer, etc? Are you a small business owner or you’re a stay-at-home mom?

Did I miss any group in between? Probably I did. Anyway, it does not really matter who you currently are, what matters is who you’re going to be in the future.

If you’re multi-millionaire, you most likely already have an online division implemented as part of your business model. You know that billions of people use Internet these days, millions more join each and every day to find anything they want - information, services, products, ideas, the list goes on and on to infinity - whatever you think of - you name it, and chances are pretty good that you can find it on the Net (even if you’re unable to find anything - let’s say you’re inventing something new, online resources are invaluable for the research of the works previously done in your area of interest).

So as a multi-millionaire you definitely wouldn’t want to miss such a huge market or your competitors will eat you alive.

If you’re a well-paid professional or executive working for a big corporation, online business could be a great way to legally reduce your taxes, as a business owner you could write-off a lot of expenses. You might argue that you can do this with any other business you own, you don’t necessarily have to have the online business for this purpose. And my answer is - Yes and No. You see, I don’t know any business you can start so easily and inexpensively as your online business.

To open a franchise, you need a few hundred thousands dollars, to open any brick and mortar business you need from fifty to a hundred thousands (may be less sometimes, but not very often).

It takes only a few thousands to start your online business (and this includes registration fees, professional website design, initial marketing, etc).

Besides, even if you’re paid rather well, you still wouldn’t mind to have additional streams of passive income, wouldn’t you? I don’t know any off-line business that can be run on auto-pilot. But there are hundreds examples of successful online businesses that run on auto-pilot.

Ok, who’s next? A small business owner? Well, is your business booming? Do you have enough clients? And even if you do, are you able to interact with them easily and effectively?

Here’s how your own website could help you. First of all, Internet is the hugest market known to the mankind and it’s so diverse that you will be able to sell anything there, from the most weirdest product you could imagine to any service.

If your services are international - then, by developing the online part of your business, you will increase your market not tenfold, you will increase it in thousands of times.

If your business is local by it’s nature, there are also dozens of online marketing techniques you can use to increase your clientele.

You’re saying you have enough clients, can’t handle anymore? Well, first of all, in this case why don’t you expend? And, second, are you able to communicate with your clients as fast as you want?

Let’s say you have 300 clients and you need to tell them quickly about something urgent (for example, you change your schedule or you have an emergency and can’t take clients for a week, etc). How would you handle this? Tell your secretary to call all 300 clients? How much time do you think will it take for her to make these calls?

Well organized online business is structured in such a way that you don’t even have to think about this problem, it’s taken care of automatically.

What if your client have some urgent question on weekend and you’re not working on weekend? Too bad, you just lost your client, client went to your competitor’s website and found the answer in his database of Frequently Asked Questions, and then automatically booked the appointment with your competitor for the closest date available…

You got the idea. Your website, if it’s created by professionals, gives your clients the ability to communicate with you 24/7, even if you’re not around to personally answer their questions.

Hope you see by now that for small business not to have a website is not an option.

Who’s left? Stay-at-home moms and dads? Let’s summarize what we have so far as benefits of online business: the most inexpensive way to start a business, unlimited market for your products or services, automatic streams of constantly growing income (otherwise known as passive income), more time you’re able to spend with your family and loved ones as a result…. Geeez, I think for moms and dads the question - whether to start online business as a source of supplemental income - must be a really difficult one (I’m just a little ironical here).

So, what should you do if you still don’t have a website? That’s easy - get up off your back bone and contact professional web designers!

The mortgage industry has faced up to some pretty demanding challenges over the last few years and only now does it appear to be settling down to something like normality.

So as the market moves onwards and upwards,I think there is a lot the lending industry can gain by taking a look at marketing techniques which have been adopted by other industries.

Take another financial market, credit cards, as an example. It shares many similar characteristics with the mortgage market: it’s a financial service, highly competitive, and a saturated market in which the challenge is to win market share from competitors because there is little room for genuine growth. Sound familiar?

The credit card market has employed some very sophisticated and aggressive marketing tactics to win new business - you may well have been on the receiving end of them. They have analysed and segmented their customer base in great detail; they know precisely the profile of people they would like to own their credit cards. The marketing tactics being used by the card companies are equally as sophisticated. Interest-free balance transfers and 0 per cent interest for six months is an enticing proposition, as are loyalty points for frequent users and long-lasting customers.

Could these techniques be used in the mortgage industry - quite possibly? Churning has been, and continues to be, a problem for lenders and attracting and retaining customers is a key issue the industry has to face up to. Perhaps rewarding loyalty is one issue we need to address with more vigour than we have done previously?

One market where customer loyalty is taken very seriously is the grocery sector - supermarkets such as Tesco have pioneered many of the marketing techniques which are now taken for granted. The whole concept of customer loyalty cards and the payment of bonus points was first introduced by Tesco and supermarkets are now analysing customer transaction data to look at how they can tailor marketing campaigns for the future.

It stands to reason that if a customer is buying nappies, Rice Crispies and cherry-flavoured lemonade on a regular basis, they are probably proud parents of a young family. Sending them special offers on children’s clothes and promoting computers for schools is highly likely to reach a receptive audience. Lenders know precisely what sort of houses their borrowers live in, how much they earn and what their payment record is like, all of which is valuable marketing information. But how effectively do we use this data to help target future marketing campaigns? Have we identified the first-time buyers of five years ago as the potential family house buyers of tomorrow? I’m sure there are isolated examples of this happening but most marketing is reasonably unsophisticated product promotion on TV, in the press and at point of sale.

Interestingly, the big supermarkets such as Tesco are now entering the mortgage market. It will be interesting to keep a watchful eye on them and to note the marketing techniques they deploy in order to build market share. With the power of a brand such as Tesco to play with, it must be good fun being the head of mortgage marketing and plotting a few new campaigns.

Low excitement levels

One of the problems all mortgage marketers face is that, for the average person, purchasing a mortgage is not as exciting as say buying a new car. It’s a necessity and an intangible one to boot. How do you win over the hearts and minds of a target market which would rather clean the car than go and talk to someone about getting a mortgage?

Perhaps we should look to the world of politics for a few clues? Historically, most people have displayed a similar lack of interest in politics as they do in mortgages and politicians know only too well that they need to engage their audience as they enter an election period. Well, we’ve just seen the mother of all elections in America, where Bush and Kerry managed to generate the highest turnout of voters in American history. They may have split the country down the middle, but they also managed to make many millions of people sit up and contemplate issues which were hitherto deemed to be boring and irrelevant.

I’m not suggesting that we all start holding glitzy showpiece rallies but we do need to consider how we can get borrowers to take financial matters more seriously and consider them as a priority which should rank above playing the lottery. I don’t have the magic solution but I do think there are lessons to be learnt by looking at the ways in which others have successfully addressed ‘dry’ subjects.

There is a great danger in thinking that all the answers to the marketing challenges facing the mortgage market will come from within the market itself. I have no doubt that those who are willing to study the successes of other market sectors will reap rich rewards.

If you’ve been utilizing the Internet for any length of time it’s likely you have been bombarded with junk mail claiming you can make money “while you sleep.” Most sensible people are bound to ignore such claims of easy money. But is it true? Can you really make money while you sleep?

The answer is an absolute YES! However, don’t assume my answer in any way implies that it is a get rich quick while you sleep proposition.

I know it is possible to make money via the Internet while one sleeps as I have been doing it for a little over a month. Actually, I have been utilizing the Internet to market my business and events for several years with a great deal of success, but it is only in the last month that I began aggressively selling products via my website.

Over the last few weeks, between e-products and my latest book, 101 Ways to Get Your Foot in the Door, I have sold a substantial amount of product. Within an hour of launching my products I was making money. From day one, each morning when I turn on my computer I am greeted with sales.

What I most like about doing this is the profit margin. With my e-products the profit is close to 100%. With my books there are shipping and handling costs and yet, the profit is still very nice.

To the casual observer this may seem fantastic. Truth be told, it is. And yet, I didn’t simply put products on my website and the sales miraculously happened.

As is true for anyone who successfully sells on the Internet, I have worked on the backend of launching my products for quite some time. Before I made my products available for sale from my website I had to make sure my systems were in place.

The process began with a great deal of research into how to successfully launch products on the web. I read virtually everything I could get my hands on by folks who are making money on the web. I listened in on teleconferences, went to seminars, bought other people’s products, and spent countless hours becoming very familiar with how the process works.

It is important to state I didn’t necessarily believe claims from someone just because they said they were making money. Plenty of people are claiming to make massive amounts of money on the Internet when in fact, they aren’t. However, there are others who are making incredible revenues from web-based product sales.

Before I would accept what someone was saying, I checked them out. I talked to other people either through email or via the phone to find out what they knew about some of the more “well known” experts. I had the opportunity to talk real-time to some of the experts as a result of taking the initiative to contact them with valid inquiries about their products and businesses.

With each conversation, book, seminar, e-book and teleconference I added to my own arsenal of information. Over a period of about a year and a half, I had acquired quite a storehouse of knowledge.

Knowledge alone wouldn’t lend itself to being successful in this new branch of my business. As with other products and services I have made available at various times to my market, I had to make sure that the products I would be introducing would sell. It’s all very nice to have something you think is great, but will there be people who will actually pay for what you are selling?

I also had to make sure most of the kinks would be worked out prior to launching the products. This took a considerable amount of time meeting with my webmaster. Together we worked on the vision and how everything would link together.

Many people are very skeptical about informational products being sold on the Internet.

They have every right to be as there is a lot of garbage out there. There are people claiming to be experts when in fact, they aren’t.

I also know we live in a “try before you buy” world. People have to feel comfortable with the purchases they make. Communication is key. Before, during and after.

Offering something at no cost prior to asking for a sale is an incredible way to build trust. It is also important to offer multiple choices in products and prices. Some people are more comfortable making a smaller purchase before they make a larger purchase.

For this reason, I have multiple free information products as well as a very cost effective e-book for only $8.95. As you will see when you visit my site and products page, I have several choices I offer.

As with a brick and mortar business, it is easier to sell to existing customers rather than selling to a stranger. This definitely proved to be true with the products I introduced. I have thousands of people in my database. I treat my database like gold because it is. I keep in touch with people in my database.

This is an area that I often see people lose substantial amounts of revenue. They fail to constantly mine their database or keep their name fresh in people’s minds. As a result they are not able to fully realize the profits that come with a well groomed database and name recognition.

As with any type of business, my continued success with this stream of revenues will be determined by whether or not I keep in touch with people, how I market my products and how valuable my information is.

Yes, you can make money “while you sleep.” And yes, it can be very profitable. However, your level of success will be directly proportionate to your level of commitment and professionalism in this avenue of your business as with any avenue of your business.

1. Design your web site to be a targeted resource center. Choose one subject and build on it. You’ll gain repeat visitors that are interested in that topic. There are many ways you can do this like adding a chat room, weblog or message board to your web site. You could even market your web site as a free club instead of a web site. This’ll increase your repeat visitors and sales. Because people want to interact with other people that have they same interests as them.

2. Offer something that is really free. You can entice people to link to your web site by giving them something free in return. This’ll increase your ranking in some search engines. But remember if people go to your site and what you said was free really isn’t, you’ll lose their trust and they won’t buy anything.

3. Trigger your reader’s emotions in your ad copy. Example, if you sell a book on gambling tips, tell them the feelings they’ll get when they win money. Ask people questions in your ad copy that make them think about their problems. For example: Do you want to be free of your debts? Magnify the size of your prospects problem in your ad; show how your product can solve it. The bigger the problem, the more sales you’ll have.

4. Give visitors a positive experience when they’re at your web site. Provide them with original content and solid information. Link to web sites that provide useful information or services for your visitors. If you have many useful links on your site, they may make it their start page. Join affiliate programs that go with the theme of your web site. You’ll just be wasting valuable space and time if your visitors aren’t interested in the programs you are promoting.

5. Make sure your site looks good in all browsers. You could be losing sales because it looks distorted in some web browsers. You can do this by using the free tools at anybrowser.com or netmechanic.com. There are many other tools available just do a search for browser compatibility check in your favorite browser. It’s also a good idea to check your web site links regularly. Because after people click on one link, and it doesn’t work, they usually won’t risk wasting their time clicking on another one.

If you do your best to give visitors a positive experience when they’re at your web site by providing them with great original content, exceptional products and services. They’ll be sure to whip out their wallets and tell all of their friends about you.
